Rockets, drones hit Iraqi bases housing U.S. forces

ANBAR, Iraq (Reuters) -Drones and rockets targeted two military bases housing U.S. forces in Iraq on Thursday, sources and officials said, the latest in a series of attacks after Iraqi militants warned Washington against intervening to support Israel against Hamas in Gaza.

Two suicide drones targeted U.S. and allied forces in Iraq but were successfully shot down. The United States has faced attacks from Iran-backed militants in Iraq before. The attack on October 18th occurred at Al-Asad Airbase.
