Japan appoints Minister of Loneliness after suicide rate rises for first time in 11 years

Japan’s Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga has appointed minister Tetsushi Sakamoto to the role of loneliness minister, to tackle the issue reportedly exacerbated by pandemic restrictions.
