Flipkart buys parent Walmart’s Indian wholesale business

India’s Flipkart said on Thursday it had acquired parent Walmart Inc’s local cash-and-carry business, as the e-commerce firm strengthens its wholesale offerings to compete better with Amazon.com Inc .
